In 1983, Greencastle’s Timothy Myers and Thomas Motichka came together with one common belief. Both expert jewelers, they felt a need to provide quality jewelry at affordable pricing, with uncompromising service available long after the sale. Too many jewelry buyers were experiencing frustration from ‘big box’ retail stores; locations where employee turn over was so high customers could never count on the same employee to help them with their next jewelry purchase.

Since then, The Jewelry Shop has increased, expanded and improved its services, adding Daniel Myers as a partner.  We’ve become known as The Jeweler’s Jeweler, as we frequently perform repair work for a variety of jewelry stores in the Tri-State area. We’ve invested in state-of-the-art laser equipment which enables us to perform repair work that other jewelers simply can’t.

Tim, Tom & Daniel have made it a point to only work with the most skilled, knowledgeable jewelry designers and suppliers, having assembled a dream team committed to ensuring our clients have a jeweler for life.

Our Staff

Teresa Teresa joined The Jewelry Shop Team in August of 1999. Teresa is a graduate of the National Watch Institute and has taken several Diamond courses through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). In addition to watch repair, Teresa also repairs jewelry using our Starweld Laser and runs the office. Teresa manages our inventory, takes care of our orders, and assists customers with their jewelry selection.
Jill Jill joined our staff in late 2013. She comes to us with a background in teaching, and joined our sales and service team to assist local customers. She volunteers with the Waynesboro Area Gala Cancer Auction and is a member of the Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Committee.
Marjorie Marjorie joined the staff at The Jewelry Shop in 2010 to manage the business's marketing and promotions, as well as supporting the staff as needed. In 2012 her responsibilities expanded to include scheduled hours in our store to assist customers.
Lily Lily started helping out in the store in 2012, gift wrapping, answering phones, and helping customers with their purchases. She has gradually taken on new responsibilities in the front of the store as well as in our repair shop. Lily is apprenticing with our two goldsmiths to repair with our laser and torch. She also helps with the dirty job of cleaning and polishing jewelry. Lily is also learning the management of our marketing and social media promotion.
Cassie Cassie joined our team in February 2016. She is working on completion of Diamond Council courses. Cassie assists customers and works with our staff in both the office and repair area.
Kayla Kayla joined our staff in 2017. She assists customers with purchases and repairs, as well as providing support to our back office. Kayla is currently an online student at Liberty University.
